A Reddit user said the one time she had to draw came out of a meeting she already knew she probably should not have agreed to. In her comment on the thread, she wrote that she started carrying because of her abusive ex-husband.
The two of them had a son together, and he asked to meet to discuss something about the child. She said it was about 15 years ago and admitted she was “stupid enough to agree,” which gives you a pretty good sense of how she looked back on the decision afterward.
According to her comment, the conversation went bad fast. She did not spend a lot of time dressing it up or adding dramatic details that were not needed. She simply said it went sideways, she tried to leave, and he grabbed her arm and yanked her back. In that moment, she wrote, she knew what was coming. That was when she drew on him.
She said he was shocked because he did not know she had begun carrying. According to her, that shock changed everything. He let her leave, and she ended the story with a line that made it clear the moment stayed with her: “Last time that fucker touched me.” It was a short comment, but it told the whole story cleanly.
She met him to talk about their son, the conversation turned bad, he put his hands on her, she drew, and that was enough to stop him.
What do you think — if someone with a history like that grabbed you when you tried to leave, would you have done the same thing the second he put hands on you?
